Description
SESSION 2 - LIFE UNDERGROUND
A lot of life happens where we can’t see it. Join us to learn all about life underground.
LESSON 1 – 10/13 – CAVES - Join us to learn about the different ways that caves are formed. Caves support unique ecosystems and some creatures have evolved, or de-evolved, to be successful in these unique environments.
LESSON 2 – 10/20 - ROOT SYSTEMS - Though never seen it is arguable that the roots of plants are the most important parts. Anchoring plants in one place, taking up water and nutrients from the soil. If the roots fail the plant will die. Join us today to learn all about plant roots and the unique ecosystems that form in and around them.
LESSON 3 – 10/27 - MYSTERIES FROM THE EARTH - From gold and gems and enormous fossils lying beneath the soil to traces of ancient civilizations. The Earth is filled with many mysteries. Join us to learn about some of the discoveries that have been made by looking below the surface of the Earth.
LESSON 4 – 11/3 - BURROWING MASTERS - Join us today to explore the world of animals who spend most, if not all, of their time underground.
