Shooting Stars

Though not actual stars the Perseid Meteor Shower provides quite a show. Join Ranger Dawn as this annual event nears its peak for an early morning (which is the best time for viewing) light show in the form of "Shooting Stars." We will meet up at the Wetmore Entrance and then walk out to an open area where you can set up your own blanket or chair, settle in and watch the sky. You will also have the treat of experiencing the change of shift as our nocturnal critters head hom and the daytime critters start waking up. Breakfast and hot drinks will be provided. Ages 10 and up but under 18 must be accompanied by an adult registered for the program. Participants must be at the Wetmore Entrance at program start time to be let into the parking lot since this a before-the-park-opens program.
