Come learn about the great outdoors! Sycamore Grove is a great place to learn and have some fun in the sun! Have a blast while learning all about lizards, birds and the many cool crawlies that call the park home.
LESSON 1 – 4/14 - BIRDS OF THE PARK - Sycamore Grove is home to many types of birds! Big ones, tall ones, small, and colorful ones too! Come learn about these fabulous flyers!
LESSON 2 – 4/21 - 6 & 8-LEGGED BEASTIES - Did you know that Livermore has native Tarantulas? Come to the park to learn about them as well as other spiders and insects from our area and around the world.
LESSON 3 – 4/28 - HERPS (REPTILES AND AMPHIBIANS) - We will be learning all about the wonderful world of herps...also known as reptiles and amphibians! Everything from frogs to lizards, snakes, and more!
LESSON 4 – 5/5 - THE POND - Today is Pond Day! We will talk about the diversity of life in the pond. Please bring a towel, water shoes, and a change of clothes because after we learn what is living in the pond we will be going in to see what we can catch! We will have a mini zoo of our pond critters to look at to end our Pond Day.
