Description:
Our middle school rowing program is a unique sporting experience, and the objective is to develop a lifetime love of rowing by focusing on the FUNdamentals of the sport. Participants will learn the basics of the rowing stroke, safe navigation, and correct use of equipment. On the water,the focus is teamwork and rowers will learn to master the use of the single as well as the biggest team boats "eights". Off the water, participants engage in structured physical exercise and guided active games with the focus to safely develop cardiovascular, flexibility and muscular fitness. Eligibility: All youth entering 7th-8th grade in spring 2020. Arrival time is flexible to accommodate variable school release times. No experience required.
