Permit expires at midnight on day of purchase. Prior to Fishing in JCPRD Waters: State License Requirements: All Kansas residents age 16 to 74 and all non-residents 16 years of age and older must possess a valid Kansas state fishing license. This is a new 2013 Kansas state requirement. Kansas residents age 65 to 74 are now required to obtain a Kansas state fishing license. JCPRD Fishing Permit Requirements: All Johnson County, Kansas residents age 16 to 64 and all persons 16 years of age and older who do not live in Johnson County must possess a valid JCPRD fishing permit and a valid Kansas state fishing license. JCPRD Trout Fishing Permit Requirements: All persons fishing for trout in JCPRD waters, regardless of age or residency, including children under the age of 15, must possess a valid JCPRD trout permit, in addition to applicable Kansas state fishing licenses and valid JCPRD fishing permits (see requirements above). This applies whether you intend to keep your catch (up to the posted limit of four trout daily) or release all trout you catch. Please note, a state trout stamp is not required to fish for trout in JCPRD waters and it is not a substitute for a JCPRD trout permit.
