This Fund is established within The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Johnson County, to reduce barriers to participation for disadvantaged and underrepresented communities that live or work in Johnson County.

The Special Population program of the Johnson County Park and Recreation District holds several event fundraisers throughout the year to benefit their programing and Special Olympic Athletes. These events include: Cars in the Park, Trucks and Big Rigs, and Flexin’ Disc Golf Tournament. Participation and donations from these events allow 100+ Special Olympics athletes an opportunity to compete in local, regional, state, and national competitions. Money raised will provide scholarships to our athletes helping to reduce the registration fees and tournament costs. Heartfelt thanks to you for your support!

The Johnson County Museum is happy to announce that we are converting the in-person REDLINED exhibit to a high-quality website that continues the deep-dive into this hard history. We need your support to keep the momentum going! Your donation provides the resources needed to not only preserve the exhibit, but also give access to an even broader audience by providing a platform for further research and community convenings around the subject of redlining.
