Description: 

Visit our literary arts room for free art activities every Saturday! These easy projects will take a deeper look at the exhibition on display in the Main Gallery. All ages. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Color Field Painting emerged in the 1950s, characterized by large areas of color. Mark Rothko believed his fields of color could tap into our most basic human emotions. Check out his red paintings, and create a piece of your own with oil pastels.
