Biography:
Kenton Pratt began studying art under his ceramic and sculptor father. Simply put Kenton upgraded from Play-Doh to clay at a young age. He then continued his education at Anderson University. After graduating he focused on glassblowing at Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center in New Jersey. Then he had the opportunity to work for the Corning Museum of Glass. Being a Corning glassblower meant traveling onboard cruise ships and working molten glass while sailing the seas. Traveling from the Mediterranean to Caribbean seas and across the Pacific Ocean from Alaska to Australia. Kenton was also a La Wayaka Current fellowship artist at their northern Norway location. Wherever his travels take him, Kenton has found inspiration in the landscapes, cities, and friends met along the way. Now back home in Indiana, Kenton has bulging sketchbooks waiting to be transformed into sculpture.
