Description: 

Hochstein Remote Studio Rock Bands
1-hour weekly, split between 30-minute group meetings and 15-30-minute 1-on-1 sessions
for students entering grades 7-12

In the history of rock and pop music, there are countless examples of timeless albums recorded at home, from Paul McCartney's first solo record to Fiona Apple's amazing new album.

There has never been a better time to explore the possibilities of recording music--whether it's an original song or a cover of a song by your favorite band! In Hochstein Remote Studio Rock Bands, rockers will gain the knowledge and experience necessary to collaborate with their peers and their instructor to write, arrange, and record music in the pop/rock styles.


Available to students who sing, or play guitar, bass, piano, or drums--or any combination thereof--and have some method to record their music. This includes GarageBand, Audacity, or SoundTrap and a USB microphone, A Focusrite audio interface, or simply an iPhone and a set of earbuds.


NOTE: Schedule will be set by Mr. Chisholm in consultation with participants.
