I am You as You are Me: Trauma-Informed Practice for Creative Arts Therapists

Fee: (therapists from outside organizations) : $75 for professionals; $25 for students
This training will integrate lecture, experientials, and discussion throughout 2 days to explore dimensions of trauma-informed practice and provide strategies for attendees to deepen their own self-reflective practice while increasing their understanding of trauma including its impact on development, relationships, and overall health.
About Sarah: Sarah is a social worker and music therapist who has worked with children and families in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, and community agencies. She currently works as a Senior Therapist for SPCC’s Family Trauma Intervention Program where she oversees a sub program co-located at Bivona Child Advocacy Center that serves infants, young children, and families impacted by trauma. Sarah’s clinical interests surround music-based crisis intervention strategies and the impacts of early childhood experiences on lifelong development.
