Q: Where is the Parks & Recreation Office located?
A: At City Hall, 200 E. Broadway. If you use the Dalmont Street entrance, we are the first office on your left.
Q: When can I make a reservation for a pool party?
A: Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 at the Parks & Recreation Office, 200 E. Broadway.
Q: Where will swim lessons be held this summer?
A: Due to popular demand, swim lessons will be held at the High School Pool again this summer.
Q: When do the pools open?
A: All pools will open for the summer on Saturday, May 27, 2017.
Q: What are the public swim hours at the pools?
A: All pools will be closed for public swim on Mondays.

Q: When will I be able to register online for summer 2017 swim lessons and other activities?
A: You will be able to register online beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2017, and in person at the Parks & Recreation Office, 200 E. Broadway, on Friday, May 5, 2017.
Q: What is the cost for swim lessons?
A: The cost is $20 per person for a 2-week course (Mon.-Fri.).
Q: How much does the summer recess program cost?
A: It is free to the public.
Q: Where is the Summer Recess site this year?
A: This program, for all applicable ages, will be held at Houston Jr. High School, 300 N. Houston Street.
Q: Can I just drop off my kids at the summer recess playground?
A: No. An information sheet must be filled out on the first day the child attends. Those forms are available at the Parks & Recreation Office, 200 E. Broadway, or at the playground site.
Q: How long does it take to get my deposit back on a reservation?
A: If the reservation was paid with a credit or debit card, the money will be credited back to your card on the first working day following your reservation. You will receive a receipt via e-mail or by mail (for those that have not provided us with an e-mail address) that reflects the refund. Please keep in mind that it may take up to 3 business days before the money is back in your account.

For those paying by check or cash, it takes approximately 5-10 working days for the refund to be processed and sent to you by mail.
Q: How old do you have to be to join the Senior Center?
A: Senior Center participation and meal services are available to men and women 60 years of age and older, along with their spouse.
Q: What are the requirements for Meals-On-Wheels?
A: You must be 60 or older, homebound, and unable to prepare your own meals. An outreach worker will fill out an assessment form and a letter will be sent to your doctor. Meals-On-Wheels are available on a donation basis.
Q: Is there a charge to join the Senior Center?
A: No, but you must fill out a membership form once a year.
