Get ready for K9 Heroes Day, featuring Pooch Pursuit 5k Run/2k Walk.

Lace up your favorite running shoes and be sure to bring your favorite four-legged running partner.

Register to participate in Pooch Pursuit, our chip-timed 5K (3.1 mile) run or our 2K (1.25) walk.

Throughout the morning, you will see amazing demonstrations in the areas of command, protection and tracking, visit pet-friendly vendors to learn about some of the latest pet-related products and have some fun in our K9 Fun zone with activities and games designed specifically for your K9 hero, including the adorable Puppy Dash and Dog-Gone Egg Hunt.

Hanover Green Veterinary Clinic will be the onsite veterinarian for the event.

Pooch Pursuit 5K run/2K walk:The first 100 registered participants for the Pooch Pursuit 5k run/2K walk will receive a t-shirt and a pet friendly goodie bag. Awards (5K only) will be presented to the top finishers in both overall and by age group. Divisions: Team (Runner and canine) or Individual (Runner only)

Pooch Pursuit - Packet Pickup: Registered runners/walkers may pick up their race number (5K only) and goodie bags from the information tent starting at 8:15AM on the event day. The 5K run is a chip-timed event. The 2K walk is not a timed event. All canine companions that participate in the 5K Run or 2K Walk will be presented with a K9 Heroes Dog Tag.

Pooch Pursuit Dog Notes: All dogs must wear ID tags, be on a leash (no flex leashes permitted), socialize well with other dogs, be current on rabies vaccinations. Dogs one (1) year of age and older will be permitted to participate in the 5K run. One dog per person for the 5K run.

Pooch Pursuit Course Notes: The 5K run course is a trail course consisting of grass, gravel & mulch surfaces. Water stations will be set up around the 1 mile and 2.5 mile marks. The 2K walk course is on a grass surface and will have a water/treat stop along the course.

Recovery Tent: Bottled water, bananas and protein bars will be waiting for you at the finish line as you celebrate completing the Pooch Pursuit, and of course plenty of water and treats will be available for your canine companion.
