Description
Join us for an opportunity to preview Camp Skylark Ranch as we welcome visitors back on select days this summer! During our Open House dates the site will be open between 10:00 AM- 6:00PM for visitors to tour the site, try archery (available for participants 7 years of age or older), make a craft, or attend a campfire.
Our camp address is 3001 Whitehouse Canyon Rd, Pescadero, CA 94060. Please note that the road to camp is a single lane and quite steep. In order to ensure participants can enter/exit the road safely, staff will be controlling traffic on the most narrow section of the camp road.
Pack a lunch and have a picnic on site or just stop by to explore camp. There is no registration for this event; drop-ins are welcome!

3001 Whitehouse Canyon Rd

Below are recommended routes to reach Skylark Ranch. Be sure to check traffic conditions and your GPS for alternative routes.
From San Francisco & North Coast to Whitehouse Canyon Rd:
- Take Hwy 1 South past Half Moon Bay, Pescadero, and Pigeon Point Lighthouse.
- 4 miles south of Pigeon Point Lighthouse, you will see signs for Castanoa Campground and Cascade Grill. There is a pedestrian crossing highway sign.
- Stay on Hwy 1, go past this turn off and slow down to look for the next left hand turn, Whitehouse Canyon Rd, a dirt road. There is a large green sign with an upside down white triangle on the right side (Oceanside) of the highway. (There is no road sign for Whitehouse Canyon Rd).
- Take a left onto Whitehouse Canyon Rd.
- You’ve gone too far south if you’ve come to Año Nuevo State Park and Pie Ranch.
From San Jose to Whitehouse Canyon Road:
- Take Hwy 17 South, then follow the signs to Half Moon Bay/Hwy 1 North.
- Pass through the tiny town of Davenport and pass by Año Nuevo State Park.
- About 2 miles north of Año Nuevo State Park and Pie Ranch, look for Whitehouse Canyon Rd, a dirt road on your right. There is a large green sign with an upside down white triangle on the left side (Oceanside) of the highway. (There is no road sign for Whitehouse Canyon Rd).
- Take a right onto Whitehouse Canyon Rd.
- You’ve gone too far if you come to Castonoa Campground signs.
Whitehouse Canyon Rd to Camp Skylark Ranch:
- Once you have made the turn onto Whitehouse Canyon Rd from Hwy 1, continue 2.5 miles up the dirt road.
- Just after trailhead parking to Chaulk Mountain, you will see a sign saying, “No public access beyond this point”, you will come to a fork and a sign for Skylark Ranch.
- Turn left onto the paved road and entrance to Skylark Ranch. Drive slowly for 1/2 mile on this very narrow road.
Important: Our paved camp road is very steep and curvy, PLEASE DRIVE SLOW AND CAUTIOUSLY. It is about 1/2 mile. When you arrive into camp, continue past the meadow to the round dining hall area. Staff will direct you to parking from there.
