Eirann Betka is thrilled to have been teaching at the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre since 2012, and is even more thrilled to be the current Outreach Specialist. She studied theater at Aquinas College and produces several shows throughout Grand Rapids. Her love of improvisational theatre has kept her busy as the director of Comedy Outlet Mondays, a captain and workshop teacher at No Outlet Improv Troupe, and the founder of Funny Girls- an all female comedy group. She also serves on the executive committees of The Grand Rapids Improv Festival, Grand Rapids Pride, and is a member of the Board of Directors at Dog Story Theater.
Rhonda Lehan first came to GRCT as an intern in 1998. Her love of theatre started before that, but Civic is where she really discovered her passion for it. Over the years, Rhonda has worn many hats at GRCT; she has worked in the box office selling tickets, as a House Manager, a Stage Manager, a Properties Designer, a teacher of classes and summer camps, and was even seen onstage a few times. She met her husband while they were cast together in SCROOGE, the Musical (1999)! Rhonda is putting her degree in theatre to use on a regular basis by working with many local professional, community and educational arts programs. Recently, she designed costumes for JTGR's production of BRILL, and she is the Stage Manager and Assistant Director for this season's production of HOLES at GRCT. Although Rhonda loves working as a Stage Manager and Designer, her favorite thing to do is to teach theatre! She is very excited to share her love of technical theatre and acting with students this year! She has taught students ages 4-80+. Rhonda and her husband, Jeff, have three children. In her free time, Rhonda runs a middle school drama club, coaches cheerleading, and sits on the Board of Directors for Jewish Theatre Grand Rapids.
