Biography:Steven Schwall has been staging fights professionally since 2006. He holds the rank of Advanced Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors, and is currently undergoing the Certified Instructor process. He is recognized as Proficient in all eight weapons in which the SAFD tests, with the higher Recommended status in five forms. He is also a practitioner of Historic European Martial Arts (HEMA), and Ko-Ryu Kabudo (Okinawan weapons). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Fine Art and did his graduate work in Theater/Performance Studies at Eastern Michigan University. He has been an instructor at several SAFD regional workshops and has presented workshops for the Community Theatre Association of Michigan (CTAM), the South East Theater Conference (SETC) twice, and the Grand Valley Shakespeare Festival Conference.
Biography:TJ is thrilled to return to GRCT to follow his passion of teaching! TJ has performed on stage the past 5 years as the mysterious "Boy" in the smash hit Ernie by Mitch Albom since its inception in 2011. He was inducted into the Actor's Equity Association in 2012. TJ has worked with numerous theatres throughout Michigan, including the City, JET, Magenta Giraffe, and the Hole in the Wall Theatre Company, where he served as Artistic Director from 2009-2014. He played David in the Jewish Ensemble Theatre's production of Enter Laughing . He currently lives in Grand Rapids, MI where he does work with the No Outlet Improv Troupe as their Artistic Director. He is also the Capocomico of the Commedia dell'Arte troupe The Personae. In 2008, he was graced with the birth of his son Delan. In October 2015 he was blessed to become engaged to his insurmountable fiancée, Lauren, who with Delan proposed to TJ in the lobby of Civic after his performance of Ichabod Crane in Sleepy Hollow. I love you guys!!!Aside from being a thespian and dad, he is also the creator and artist of his original comic book series Runa Sagas: Jeminar through On the Line Books.
