Michelle Urbane, director of Civic's 2017-2018 production of Calendar Girls, will help both beginning and experienced actors put their best foot forward in their next audition!
Biography:Michelle Urbane (Shelly): most recently directed Hand to God for Actors' Theatre and is thrilled to be directing Calendar Girls for Civic Theatre this fall. Some of her local directing credits include Rapture, Blister, Burn, Venus in Fur (Grand Award), and [title of show] a musical with Actors' Theatre; Jump/Cut, and For Better (Grand Award) with GRCC; and Steel Magnolias with Circle Theatre. She was last seen on stage with Actors' Theatre in August: Osage County. Shelly is a member of the Ransom Note Entertainment improv troupe, and a proud Co-Owner of One World Diversity, LLC alongside her friends Sammy Publes and Todd Lewis. Shelly is a graduate of Aquinas College's Theater Program, and holds Associate Degrees in Business and Art (theater emphasis) from GRCC where she is employed as the Spectrum Theater Manager.
