History and our World
Description
If you think America is divided and partisan nowadays, come back with me to the days of the American Civil War, and see just how much worse things were then! We will explore the causes and tensions that built towards war; the attempts at avoiding the war altogether: the weapons, strategies and tactics used to fight; the battles that decided the future of this continent; and the technological advances that made this the first modern war. We will do a deep dive into the “War Between the States”. Did Lincoln care about freeing the slaves? Was Robert E. Lee really all that? Bring the questions you always wanted answered; we will cover it all with the best sources: books, documentaries, movies, songs and more!
