If you want to make a difference, start by understanding how your government works. Informed citizens are change makers! In this program for grades 4-8, we welcome special guest, Dr. Natalie Coleman, for Passion into Action: The Power of Community Activism!
Dr. Natalie Coleman is the Founder and CEO of After the Peanut. She was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois and is passionate about all things STEM! She has over 15 years of experience as an educator and is also a combat veteran having served as a Military Police Officer in the Illinois Army National Guard. Besides leading After the Peanut, Dr. Coleman is a Will County Board Member and Adjunct Education Professor at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.

This program will take place on Sunday, Oct. 16 at the Joliet Gathering Place. Participants will complete all the requirements toward their Democracy badges. Badges will be awarded at the program.
