Description
What comes to mind when you think of fall? Colorful leaves, warm sweaters, delicious hot cider…and pumpkins! Whether you make pumpkin pie, decorate the interior of your house with plastic pumpkins, or carve pumpkins to put outside, they are a symbol of the fall season. Learn about where pumpkins grow, how you can use them, and some fun facts. We will go through the step-by-step process how to carve a pumpkin with helpful tips and tricks. Get your pumpkins ready and let the fun begin!
This is a prerecorded activity video. Participants will receive the link to the video at 4:30 pm. on the program date. You are then free to complete the activity on your own schedule! Gather virtually or in-person with your family or troop and use this as a resource for some Girl Scout fun!
Supply List:
- pumpkin
- newspaper/table covering
- 2 large bowls
- pumpkin carving kit OR pairing knives, nail, ice cream scoop
- permanent marker
- paper
- wet paper towels, rags, or napkins
- masking tape
