Description: Attend this adult skills session to practice the information presented during the required online gsLearn course Outdoor Cooking & Rustic Camping. This skills session will help you gain confidence teaching edible fires, sorting types of firewood, starting and maintaining a fire for stick cooking while learning tips and tricks for teaching and involving campers in Girl Scout outdoor progressions. You will also practice how to set up a camp stove and light it, learn useful knots and cook a meal over the fire. Finally, review how to wash dishes in the woods to ensure sanitiation and health of all campers. Designed for adult troop volunteers wanting to take a troop camping in platform tents, tabins, or yurts.

Notes:
Anyone planning to attend needs to be a registered Girl Scout.
