National "Take a Hike Day" is celebrated annually on November 17, encouraging individuals and families to embrace the great outdoors and enjoy the benefits of hiking. This day promotes physical activity, mental well-being, and a deeper connection with nature.

Program Overview
The primary goals of National Take a Hike Day include:
Encouraging Outdoor Activity: The day invites everyone to step outside. It emphasizes that hiking can be accessible to all, regardless of fitness level.
Promoting Health Benefits: Hiking is recognized for its numerous health benefits, including improved mood, reduced stress, and enhanced physical fitness. The day serves as a reminder of the positive impacts of spending time in nature.
Fostering Community Engagement: Visit this local outdoor space at one of three times to participate in a guided hike with camp staff.

National Take a Hike Day is an opportunity for everyone to reconnect with nature, improve their physical health, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Whether hiking with friends or family, this day encourages participants to embrace the adventure and tranquility that comes from exploring the natural world
