Premiering our newest Chicago Neighborhood Walk - Bronzeville! Bronzeville was historically known in the early 20th-century as the “Black Metropolis,” rich in African American business and culture. Walk along the Bronzeville Hall of Fame, take a few selfies as you pose in front of the many beautiful murals and landmarks, and don't forget to stop for some soul food and a sweet treat along your route.

Join GSGCNWI staff on Juneteenth for the premiere of this new patch program. Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States on June 19, 1865. Juneteenth is a day in which honor and respect is paid for the sufferings of slavery. It is a day of reflection, a day of renewal, a pride-filled day where we appreciate the African American experience.
