Description
Join your fellow Girl Scouts on the Chicago Neighborhood Walk of Bronzeville in celebration of Juneteenth!
On June 19 we celebrate Juneteenth, the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration for the ending of slavery in the United States in 1865.
This walk is being held in Bronzeville because of its rich Black Culture it holds. Bronzeville was historically known in the early 20th-century as the “Black Metropolis,” rich in African American business and culture. Walk along the Bronzeville Hall of Fame, take a few selfies as you pose in front of the many beautiful murals and landmarks, and don't forget to stop for some soul food and a sweet treat along your route.
All registrants will receive the Chicago Neighborhood Walk: Bronzeville patch!
