Apr 5, 2018
Grade 3rd - 8th, Mixed
Description
Ever wonder how the heck people survived during the winter in Alaska? Can you imagine living, cooking, and hunting every day without a modern house to go back to? This After School Enrichment series features UAA Professor of Anthropology David Yesner, who has studied Alaska's frozen past and the creatures that roamed. He will share what he has learned about how both the animals and people and animals of Ice Age Alaska adapted and survived in the cold. This series is meant for youth who can attend a talk and stay engaged for over an hour. If your child is in 3rd Grade and/or would like to attend but may need help to stay focused, please join them at no cost.
