Rec Bike Club

Enjoy nature while getting a little exercise. Join a group of individuals on a relaxing recreational bike ride starting at Joliet Iron Works Historic Site. The ride will begin with a view of the historic ruins of Joliet’s iron industry as we make our way to the I&M Canal State Trail. This trail will provide points of interest as it takes us past old canal locks and buildings as we cruise through Lockport.

The bike ride will leave from the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site parking lot.

This ride is the second of four Rec Bike Club rides this fall. Other rides are as follows:

• 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 9, at Centennial Trail
• 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, September 23, at Hadley Valley – Route 6 Access
• 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, October 2, at Hickory Creek Barrens

Those who participate in all four rides will receive a promotional cooling buff/head wrap.
