Use the Butterfield Road entrance and follow the signs to the archery area. (Click the link in the upper right to download a map.)
Bring your merit badge blue card. (A certified merit badge counselor will sign it after you complete the program.) Dress for the weather and do not wear loose clothing. Secure long hair and bring water and sunscreen. For safety reasons, you can only use Forest Preserve District equipment, and you will not be able to participate if you arrive after the safety instructions at the start of the program.
In accordance with Restore Illinois guidelines, all visitors 2 or older regardless of vaccination status must:
- Wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth when inside forest preserve buildings.
- Consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and for activities that involve close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated.
