Description: Help improve a prairie or woodland by collecting seeds or removing nonnative plants. Ages 8 and up; under 18 with an adult. To register by phone instead, call 630-206-9630 at least five days in advance (10 days by phone for groups of five or more).

This workday is at Blackwell Forest Preserve. After you register you'll receive an email with a link to a PDF with important workday instructions and a map. Volunteers under 18 cannot attend the workday alone. Minimally, there must be one adult volunteer for every two children ages 8 to10, one adult for every eight children ages 12 to 13 and one for every 10 teens ages 14 to 17. (High school students are encouraged to volunteer in groups of two or more.

Volunteer workdays cannot be applied to court-ordered community service. For these types of projects call the Forest Preserve District's Human Resources department at 630-933-7682.
