Ultimate Camp, Boys and Girls Ages 9-14

USA Ultimate-sanctioned Summer Camp

For girls and boys, ages 9-14, all ability levels.

June 22 - 26, Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 3 PM

Kids love playing Ultimate! Learn the game with two fun-loving, energetic, Division 1 college players who grew up playing in Maine's own high school league. Ultimate was rated the fastest growing team sport in America by the Sporting Goods Manufacturer's Association, and Maine kids know it! We have 54 teams in our 2015 high school spring league, and a very active middle school league!

Camp Directors, Chloë Rowse and Noah Backer were multi-year captains of their high school teams and co-captains of Maine's first youth club all-star team, placing 3rd in the U.S. in 2012! They co-founded and ran Maine Ultimate's summer camp for 2 years and have additional coaching and leadership experience.

FCP Ultimate Camp is for all kids, including non-Falmouth residents. It is for girls and boys of all ability levels who want to learn to play and improve their skills. We teach throwing, catching, offensive and defensive strategies, and an introduction to the rules. We inspire what USA Ultimate calls Spirit of the Game (good sportsmanship) and we play games every day!

What to bring - Lots of energy, water, cleats or sneakers, a healthy lunch and snacks, a white and dark jersey, sunscreen, and a hat.

Instructors

Chloë Rowse plays for the U.S. Women's National Team and is captain of the Women's Team at Colorado College, finishing 9th in the 2014 Division 1 National Championships. She was named to the 2013 USA Ultimate D1 All-Freshman Team and was captain of Falmouth Ultimate from 2010-2012.

Noah Backer is a pivotal player at the University of Michigan, which placed 5th in the 2014 Division 1 National Championships. He was named to the 2013 USA Ultimate Division 1 All-Freshman Team and was captain of the Cape Elizabeth Ultimate team in 2011 and 2012.
