Description: There is no prerequisite for Photography I. During the first semester, students will discover the history and fundamentals of Photography including light and composition, rule of thirds, and depth of field. In the second semester, students will learn lighting basics, creative cropping, landscape photography, head shots and portraits, and trick photography. Students will need to bring their own camera; any camera will be acceptable. Student required materials for this course include a thumb drive for saving student work.

Students produce art work in a Unit using tools within the program. Drill exercises serve as a springboard for students to apply their knowledge and produce creative expressions of their own.
