We're sorry, but this activity is over. The last meeting was Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Vantage is located in beautiful eastern Washington next to the Columbia just off I-90. Vantage is located in a sagebrush desert and can experience a wide range of weather conditions. Days are often warm and sunny and nights can be freezing. Moderate to high winds are common. We will be car camping with a short approach (easy hike 10-40 min) to the climbing areas.
The climbing at Vantage, also known as Frenchmans Coulee is on columnar basalt (old lava flows) and is suited to all climbing levels and abilities (5.5-5.12+). This climbing trip will be geared toward the beginner and intermediate climber.
TOP will provide dinner and breakfast, please bring lunches and snacks.
Tents and climbing equipment will be provided.
Vantage is a primitive camping area with no running water, electricity or established bathrooms. We will be following Leave No Trace (LNT) practices in regards to restrooms. If you have questions please ask, this is important.
