Fred Beckey's 100 Favorite North American Climbs is the magnum opus of one of the greatest American climbers of the past century. Beckey's intimate, detailed knowledge of the North American mountains has produced an unparalleled guidebook. The Outdoor Program at The Evergreen State College has the honor of hosting Fred Beckey as guest speaker on February 11th, 2015. This two-hour presentation will cover his favorite climbs through photos, videos, and stories. Please join us for an evening honoring the life and legacy of Fred Beckey and his progression from a fledgling climber in the Pacific Northwest to a world-wide mountaineering legend.
Parking: Standard TESC Parking Rates apply, $2 for arrivals prior to 7 pm and $1 after 7 pm.
Seating: Presentation is hosted in CRC gymnasium, bleacher seating provided. Please feel free to bring your own cushions if you would prefer to sit on the floor.
There will be an opportunity for a meet and greet book signing at the conclusion of the event.
