Answers to FAQs For Online Registration Customers

Q: How do I establish an online account?
A: Before registering for any activities online, you must establish an online account and create a Login Name (your e-mail address) and Password.

To create your account:

1. Click on the "Create Account" button.

2. Fill out the form for New Account Request completely, including all required fields and click "Submit." (Please submit your request only once.)

*PLEASE NOTE: If you are registering a child for a program, please use your own information when filling out the online registration account request form. Please do NOT use the information of the child you wish to register for an activity. Once you have an online registration account, you will have the opportunity to add family members.

3. You will automatically receive an email after submitting your request for an account. Your account will be activated only after responding by clicking on the link provided in the email.
Q: How do I register online for an activity?
A: Once your account has been established, registration for activities is easy:

1. Click the "View Activities" button on the registration home page.

2. Select the activity that you would like to enroll in. Clicking the underlined program name will show you a detailed activity description.

3. Click the "Add to My Cart" button if you wish to register for the activity.

4. Next, login to your online account by entering your login information and password. Proceed to checkout by clicking the "Continue" button. From this screen you may remove activities from your cart or view more activities and add them to your cart.

5. Confirm your activity name, date and time, enrollee, and price.

6. Click "Continue" to proceed with payment. You will be prompted that you are entering a secure site. Click "Yes." Enter your credit card information on the Payment Information Page. Click "Continue." This system accepts all major credit cards. *Please note the name and address must match those that are on file with your credit card company. If the address shown is not your credit card billing address, click on the "My Account" button and change your residential address to match your credit card billing address.
Q: What activities are available for online registration?
A: You can register online for activities listed on Escondido Recreation's Web site/quarterly brochure with a seven-digit registration number. Exceptions will be noted under "View Activities" when you choose a specific activity.
Q: Can I view activities without registering?
A: You can always browse through the activites without registering. By clicking the "View Activities" button you will be able to view all of the activities that are currently available for online registration, and selected activities that are not currently available for online registration.
Q: How do I pay for online registration?
A: The host for Escondido Recreation's online registration, the Active Network, accepts payment by Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express. Please note that ESCONDIDO will appear on your credit card statement. If you have credit on account, you may also choose to apply this credit toward fees owed.
Q: Are there any additional charges to register online?
A: The Active Network charges a nominal, nonrefundable 5.5 % processing fee for all registrations, with a $2.00 as a minimum fee.
Q: How will I receive confirmation of my online registration?
A: When you complete the online registration form and billing information, and then submit your payment to the Active Network, a confirmation screen will appear notifying you if your registration transaction was successful. Your receipt will automatically be emailed to you.
Q: How many accounts should each family have?
A: We recommend that each family establish ONE account. Create the account in the name of the head of the household and then add all family member names to the account after it is established.
Q: How do I add family members to My Account?
A: You may add family members in the three following locations:

1. You may add family members under "My Account." This is done by cliking the link called "Change information about family members."

2. You may also add family members during the enrollment process. This is done by clicking on the link "Add Family Member" which is located beside the participant box.

3. You may add a family member after your initial account request by clicking on "Save and add family member."
Q: What if I forget my password?
A: From the login screen, click on the link that says "Forgotten?" You will be required to re-enter the email addresss you used to establish your account. Once you submit that e-mail address you will be emailed a NEW password.
Q: Can I view my transaction history and print out my past receipts online?
A: Yes! The "My Account" feature allows you to view a detailed list of all your past transactions. Simply log in, click the "My Account" button, and select the program(s)providing transaction history.
Q: What if an activity is cancelled?
A: If an activity is cancelled by Escondido Recreation, those registered will be notified of an alternative activity, if one is available, and/or offered credit on account or a refund. Any convenience or processing fees are nonrefundable. Escondido Recreation reserves the right to cancel, combine classes, or change instructors/locations as needed.
Q: What is the refund policy for online registration?
A: The Active Network does not issue refunds or credits. You must contact Escondido Recreation staff to request a refund or credit on account for activity fees. Only Escondido Recreation activity fees can be refunded or credited. Any convenience or processing fees are nonrefundable. Any refund of activity fees will be issued as a check, after the City has been paid by the Active Network.
