This site has a maximum capacity of 150. Newt Hollow has thirteen 10-ft tables, 2 double BBQ's, 3 single BBQ's, 1 bench, and a drinking fountain with spigot. Two chemical toilets are 200 yards from site. It is located near the Bear Creek entrance to the park, is well shaded by large oak trees and has a platform often used for small wedding ceremonies. To call the park use 1-888-EBPARKS, option 3, ext 4508. DIRECTIONS: from Hwy 24 take the Orinda Village exit and head north on Camino Pablo Rd. Shortly after Camino Pablo becomes San Pablo Dam Rd, turn right at the stoplight onto Bear Creek Rd. The Bear Creek entrance will be on your right, just beyond the Happy Valley Road intersection. From I-80 take the San Pablo Dam Rd exit and head east through town past the San Pablo Reservoir. Turn left at the stoplight onto Bear Creek Rd and look for the Bear Creek park entrance just beyond Happy Valley Rd.
