COYOTE HILLS REGIONAL PARK - The ancient skill of stone tool making is the focus of this ?knap-in.? Join experienced stone tool makers during this informal, weekend opportunity to learn about the methods used locally and worldwide to transform chert, obsidian and other stones into spear points, arrowheads, and drills. Young children may watch. Anyone 16 years or older may give ?knapping? a try. Bring leather gloves, long pants, close-toed shoes, and protective eye wear if you want to test your knack for knapping. Parking fees apply where charged. Disabled accessible. No registration required; Drop-in program only. For information, call (510) 544-3220.
