Description

SUNOL -Which city has the most nature? More than 75 cities on six continents are participating to document species they find. Help the Bay Area win this year!

Download the free iNaturalist app on your phone before coming to the event; there is no internet service in the park.

10-11 am = iNaturalist tutorial

11-12 pm = Guided walk to observe species using iNaturalist

12-1 pm = Lunch

1-3 pm = Participants hike trails with few iNaturalist observations to improve biodiversity data for Sunol.

Further instruction will be provided; these hikes will not necessarily be guided.

Registration is required, and lunch is provided!

Registration is required. Adult participation is required for kids under age 13. $5 Parking fee may apply.

From the Fremont area: Drive north on I-680 and exit at Calaveras Rd. Turn right on Calaveras and proceed to Geary Rd, which leads directly into park.

From the Oakland/Berkeley area: Drive east on I-580 to the junction with I-680 in Pleasanton. At the junction, go south on I-680 and exit at Calaveras Road/Highway 84 just south of the town of Pleasanton. Turn left onto Calaveras Road and proceed to Geary Road, which leads directly into the park.
