Description

SUNOL - Celebrate wildflower season in Sunol as we welcome deaf communities of the Bay Area to join a Naturalist guided hike with professional American Sign Language interpreters!
Discover the beauty of Sunol in Spring during this stroll.

** This program is a part of the Sunol Wildflower Season - Please arrive early to ensure the park is open before reaching capacity. Space will be limited and sign-ups will occur on the day of on a first come, first served basis at the visitor center.

4 plus years of age
Adult participation required

American Sign Language Guided Walk.

Come prepared: There is no service, Wi-Fi or running water in the park.
Bring all the drinking water you will need.
Wear layers, close-toed shoes, sun protection.

Pit toilets are open near the trailhead.

Parking fees apply where charged.

Accessibility Information: 2 American Sign Language interpreters translating during the hike.

From Fremont, drive north on I-680 and exit at Calaveras Road (near the town of Sunol.)
Turn right at the exit onto Calaveras Road and proceed about four miles to a left turn onto Geary Road, which leads directly into the park.
(If you find yourself driving uphill on a narrow winding road you’ve missed the Geary Road turnoff.)
To reach the visitor center take the first left after the park entrance.

From the Oakland-Berkeley area, drive east on I-580 to the junction with I-680. Take I-680 south and exit at Calaveras Road/Highway 84 just south of the Sunol exit.
At the bottom of the exit, turn left onto Calaveras Road and proceed as noted above.
