Description
BLACK DIAMOND MINES REGIONAL PRESERVE - Join park staff and ASL interpreters on the Autumn American Sign Language Walks at Black Diamond Mines Regional Preserve to uncover the forgotten history of the coal mines and surrounding communities. With the help of historic photos, maps, and marks on the landscape, this 1-mile walk pieces together a past that enabled California's rise in the global economy.
The first walk is from 10:00am - 11:30am.
The second walk is from 1:00pm - 2:30pm.
Meet in the upper parking lot, which is 1-mile past the kiosk.
$5/per vehicle parking fee applies when kiosk is attended.
No-registration required; Drop-in Program only.
