Description
MLK JR. - Learn kayaking skills with your peers at a pace that is right for you. On land, we will cover paddling techniques, equipment selection, and boating safety. Then we will head out on the water practicing what you have learned by touring San Leandro Bay by kayak.
Kayaks, safety gear, and paddle instruction provided. Come by yourself or with a partner!
Reminder email will be sent out prior to course start date.
Meeting Place: Martin Luther King Jr (Oakland): Tidewater Boating Center
PROVIDED: kayaks, safety gear, and paddle instruction.
WEAR: dress in layers for warmth (synthetic materials recommended), windbreaker, hat, sunglasses with retention device, shoes that can get wet. NO flip-flops.
BRING: water bottle and signed WAIVER/EMERGENCY form (PDF document will be located at the end of the registration receipt).
