Description

SIBLEY VOLCANIC REGIONAL PRESERVE (EASTPORT STAGING AREA): Hike one of the trails highlighted in this year’s trail challenge booklet! We will see one of the largest creek restoration areas in the Park District’s History. After passing Alder and Leatherwood Creek, we’ll traverse the hills for amazing views, expanses of grassland, and more. 4+ miles rated moderate hiking, with about 843 feet elevation gain.

NOTE: Parking is limited, please carpool. No dogs allowed in this newly restored section of Sibley.

Wear sturdy footwear, bring water and dress for the weather. Ages 8 years and up.??
