Description

LEONA CANYON REGIONAL OPEN SPACE PRESERVE (MERRITT COLLEGE PARKING LOT E): Volunteers are needed to help protect featured native plants by pulling non-native invasive grasses and shrubs, and fix the protective cages around the native plants that volunteers have planted the past three years. We will also weed around the stations of the self-guided "Local Indian Uses of Plants" trail.

Lunch, tools, and gloves provided. Community service hours available for students. Heavy rain cancels.

Ages 10 and up.
