CROWN MEMORIAL STATE BEACH (ELSIE ROEMER BIRD SANCTUARY): Springtime is one of the best times of the year to begin to learn to identify shorebirds! As they turn from drab browns and grays into brighter and more distinct plumage now is the time to view them before they migrate to breeding grounds farther north! Beginners welcomed and encouraged. Meet at the viewing platform.

Bring your own binoculars or a few pairs will be available to borrow.
