TEMESCAL - When Polewalking, you’ll feel taller and experience profound freedom of movement! People with mobility challenges learn game-changing skills in a comfortable, beautiful setting. Address your issues and goals, reduce fall risk, improve spine function, balance, endurance, gait, longevity. Easy Pace; Short optional, lovely Practice Polewalk.
Meeting Location: Temescal (Oakland): Temescal Beach House
A variety of top-quality poles are provided for your use, or you may bring and use your own. If you bring your own poles, please make sure they are in working order and do not ask the instructor to repair, touch or work with them.
CAREFULLY read the descriptions and then select the class that best suits your physical ability and inclination.
Approximately 5 days before the course, you will receive an email reminder from EB Parks which will include helpful and seasonal info from your instructor. If you do not see this email, please check your spam, or junk folder.

Rag to wipe poles
Light snack (plan on a late lunch after the class)
*If you are using your own poles, bring your rubber tips for inside the Beach House. If you do not have rubber tips, instructor has extra. Do NOT let your steel tips touch the wood floor inside the Beach House.
What to Wear

Sturdy walking shoes
Please consider an alternate pair of shoes for inside The Beach House so we can keep this EB Parks’ beautiful and treasured space clean.

If you have any injuries, health conditions, physical limitations, or concerns that would be helpful for the instructor to know, please contact the instructor via email before the class occurs to discuss. An email reminder will be sent out before the class with the instructor contact information.
