Activity locationMorgan Territory (Black Hawk): Finley Road Trailhead
Description
MORGAN TERRITORY REGIONAL PRESERVE (FINLEY ROAD TRAILHEAD): This is a serious hike with serious rewards, and highlights sections of the Mount Diablo Foothills that few folks see, traveling along the Oyster Point Trail. It is well worth the trip and the effort. A highlight would be seeing the Bumblebee Moth, AKA California Clearwing. This hike incorporates 3 different park/conservation entities: EBPRD, CA State Parks, and Save Mount Diablo.
About 10 miles and 2,000 feet of elevation
NOTE: Parking is in pullouts about 0.6 miles from the actual trailhead, but it is a pleasant stroll along a country road to the start of the trail.
Please bring food and water.
Ages 12 years and up.
