Brooks Island Adventure

BROOKS ISLAND- This trip is a short paddle in stable, double kayaks across sheltered bay water with spectacular views of San Francisco. Paddle along Brooks Island preserve shoreline then come ashore to enjoy a Naturalist guided two-mile hike around the island, which is normally closed to visitors.

$16 Parking fee applies. Entrance to parking lot is off of Hall Ave.

PROVIDED: kayaks, safety gear, and paddle instruction. Participants will be placed in stable, two-person kayaks.

WEAR: dress in layers for warmth (synthetic materials recommended), windbreaker, hat,

sunglasses with retention device, shoes that can get wet. NO flip-flops.

BRING: water bottle and signed WAIVER/EMERGENCY form (PDF document located at the end of the registration receipt).

Please bring a lunch and enough water for yourself for the whole day. At least 2 liters is recommended. There is no access to potable water on the Island.
