Description

THURGOOD MARSHALL REGIONAL PARK - This year's EBRPD Black Birders Week will kick off at Thurgood Marshall Regional Park - Home of the Port Chicago 50. We'll bird among the bunkers (technically, magazines) and along the railroad tracks of this former weapons depot, while learning about the site's significance in the desegregation of the U.S. military and reflecting about the work that still needs to be done to make everyone feel welcome in their public lands.

Bring water and sun protection.

Coffee and snacks, binoculars, and birding books are provided.

Meet at the South of Bailey Rd. Gate
