Activity locationAlameda: Bay Trail at Encinal Beach
Description
ENCINAL BEACH: In 2020, a beautiful sand dune habitat was created at Encinal Beach, with unique California native plants. We need the help of weed warriors/good Samaritans to pull invasive weeds, preventing them from taking over, for the benefit of wildlife and humans.
The Encinal Dune restoration events are a collaboration between the Golden Gate Audubon Society (GGA), Friends of the Alameda Wildlife Reserve (FAWR: a committee of GGA), and the East Bay Regional Park District. To learn more about GGA and FAWR, and their efforts to protect and educate about wildlife habitat, go to: https://goldengateaudubon.org/ and https://goldengateaudubon.org/volunteer/friends-of-the-alameda-wildlife-reserve/.
