BLACK DIAMOND MINES REGIONAL PRESERVE - Join a fellow District Naturalist, nature enthusiasts, shutterbugs, and other wildlife in a search for your perfect subject. From wide vistas to dragonflies' eyes, from smartphones to the latest mirrorless wonders. Pack your favorite gear and let's express ourselves.
9/12/21: Chaparral and Carbondale (3.5 miles - 2.5 hours) 8:15am - 10:45am
9/19/21: Nortonville, Coal Canyon, Manhattan Canyon (5.1 miles - 4 hours) 8:15am - 1:15pm
Please be ready for tough, steep trails. Bring sufficient food and water. These outings are for photography, but also real hikes.
$5 parking fee per vehicle applies.
