Description: This program is designed for youth who would like to ease into the competitive swimming environment. Participants will learn about competitive swimming in a non-competitive environment. Practices are held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and participants will showcase their improvement during two non-competitive swim meets. Minimum skills include the ability to safely swim 25 yards (1 lap of the pool) using 2 of the 4 competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, or butterfly). Registration begins on Thursday, February 27 at 6:00 PM for residents and Thursday, March 5 at 6:00 PM for non-residents. Swim meets will be held on Friday, June 26 at 5:00 PM and Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 AM.
