Description

This American Red Cross Lifeguarding with Administering Emergency Oxygen course provides you with the necessary training to work as a lifeguard and provides you with certifications if you pass the course. Prerequisites: Students must pass a 300-yard continuous swim test using freestyle and/or breaststroke; tread water for 2 minutes without the use of arms; pass a timed swim and retrieval of a 10 lb. object from water 7-10 ft. deep. Attendance and participation is required for all class sessions. The last class testing for certifications consists of multiple choice exams and a series of scenarios hat test the skills taught in the course. Participants who pass issued certifications from the American Red Cross, valid for two years in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer with AED, and Oxygen Administration.
