Darlington Arts Center COVID-19 Health and Safety Plan In accordance with the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Darlington Arts Center has established the following plan to reopen classes, camps and lessons during the yellow phase of Coronavirus mitigation: ALL ACTIVITIES: • Only students and staff may be in the building. Drop offs and pickups for camp activities will occur outside our main entrance • Cloth face coverings will be worn by all staff and students entering the Arts Center. If a mask cannot be worn due to medical reasons, Darlington will need a copy of a doctor’s note. If student arrives without a mask, Darlington will provide a disposable mask for the day’s activities • Social distancing will be practiced during all activities. • Temperature scans will be taken upon arrival. Anyone who scans above 100.4 will be refused admittance. • Surface sanitizing/cleaning will be done on an accelerated schedule. • Hand sanitizer will be available and handwashing will be encouraged. • CDC guidelines are used to implement these health and safety measures. • Anyone who exhibits signs of illness or has been exposed to someone exhibiting signs of illness should not attend Darlington activities. • Signs will be posted throughout the building to remind students and staff to follow these protective measures. • All questions or concerns should be addressed to the Darlington’s office. Class tools will be available and cleaned after each class. PRIVATE LESSONS:• Private Lesson rooms will be sanitized between each lesson. • Face coverings must be worn when possible. • Lessons in voice, reeds or brass will have proper social distance and dividers between student and teaching artist CAMP GUIDELINES: • Camps will be limited to 8 children per camp. Camp groups will not mix. • Campers will bring their own lunch and eat outside with their designated group, weather permitting. Individual bottled water will be made available. • Campers will be dropped off and picked up in a designated area outside of Darlington’s main entrance. A Darlington staff member will facilitate sign in and temperature scans, as well as sign out. If a camper is sent home sick, a Darlington staff member will escort them to their parent’s vehicle • Any camp performances will be live-streamed or recorded. • Campers will be issued personal art supplies to be used during the week. Supplies will be sanitized between sessions. • Campers are required to wear clothes that can get messy or bring their own smock. IN CASE OF PROBABLE/CONFIRMED ILLNESS: • Staff and students will be notified immediately of exposure due to a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 and asked to follow CDC guidelines for exposure. • Areas and objects used by an infected person will be cleaned and disinfected before allowing further use.
